Is there a recommended insertion tool that I can use with S25-022 and P25-0423?
We do not have a specific insertion tool for our ATE test probe sleeves. If you are press-fit assembling the S25-022 sleeve to a panel, you would just need to support the underside of the panel around the mounting hole, and push down on the sleeve with a flat plate. A typical bench press should be suitable. The probe should then be fitted to the sleeve by hand. There is also an instruction sheet available for these products.
S25-022 and P25-0423 – Which item contains the spring?
The Probe is the P25-0423 part – this is the item with the internal spring. The Sleeve is S25-022 – it’s basically a hollow tube used to mount the probe to the PCB or test bed.
Why is there no voltage rating for this contact?
Voltage rating is calculated from the flashover voltage – the voltage at which the electricity can break down the air gap and jump between two contacts. With a single contact, the voltage rating you achieve will depend on the space you leave between two contacts, or a contact and any other conducting element. So we are unable to give a voltage rating for single contacts, as it will depend on your usage.
