Datamate Mix-Tek Connectors
2.00mm & 4.00mm Pitch High-Reliability Connectors
Harwin’s Datamate (M80 series) connectors provide an extremely flexible interconnect solution, ideally suited for a wide variety of testing environments and conditions. Connectors are available in configurations of single row power or coax contacts with double row signal contacts in one connector. Vibration and shock resistant, ultimately flexible.
About Datamate Mix-Tek
- 3A per signal contact (all electrically loaded; 3.3A per individual contact) at 2mm pitch
- Proven 4-finger contact design to maintain electrical contact through high vibration and shock
- Beryllium Copper contact for improved temperature range: -55°C to +125°C (testing in progress to confirm higher)
- Multiple power level contacts – from 5A up to 40A per contact
- Coax contacts capable of 6GHz / 50Ohm
- Power and Coax contacts on 4mm pitch, single row
- 500 Mating cycles durability
- World-class quality from the Original Designers of Datamate – published test reports and proven track record
- Popular products available from stock, stock availability visible online
Heart of the Connector
The compact design of a 2mm pitch connector (for signal), the global availability of a product range stocked in depth, the established high-reliability of a COTS connector system. Datamate has become the connector range of choice in many demanding applications on land, sea and air.
With the addition of power or coax contacts within the one connector, Datamate Mix-Tek brings the ultimate flexibility and space-saving capabilities to this high-reliability connector system.
Datamate is a focus product for Harwin, and is undergoing an active development program. The Cable Assembly Service is available for this range as a value-added service – contact us for more information.
Product Styles
Mixed connectors combining 2mm pitch signal contacts with a choice of 6GHz / 50Ohm coax contacts, 20A power contacts or 40A power contacts.
- Wide choice of Jackscrew fixings – none fitted, standard gender (floating jackscrew is on female connector), reverse fix (floating jackscrew is on male connector), guide pins, panel or board mount, and Datamate 101Lok (quarter-turn bayonet fixings for fast mating and unmating).
- Male connectors in vertical or horizontal orientation on the PCB, or cable connection. Female connectors in vertical orientation on the PCB, or cable connection.
- Stocked designs include power & signal combinations with female cable and male PCB styles. For standard items included in the Datamate Mix-Tek range, please consult the Datamate section of the catalog.
- Cable size for power contacts will dictate the possible current handling. The connection area for the 20A contact design remains the same, but Harwin recommend choosing the 12AWG contact to achieve this current/power. Contacts for smaller wires are rated for lower currents due to the wire size: 14AWG for 15A, 16AWG for 10A, 18AWG for 8A and 20AWG for 5A.
For signal contacts only, see Datamate. For power or coax contacts only, see Datamate Power & Coax.
