Frequently Asked Questions Ask a Question
Can I use a Metal Backshell (M80-945 or M80-946) with this connector?
Sorry no, I’m afraid the metal backshells are not compatible with Datamate Mix-Tek connectors fitted with 10AWG High Power contacts. You will need to specify an alternative contact from the standard power contacts (32x or M80-32x), one that uses 12 to 20AWG cable. Do please contact our Experts if you need assistance specifying an alternative.

We see the power contacts are up to 80A peak. What is the duration of the peak current pulse?
You can see further information on the testing carried out on current in the Test Report HT040 – the current rating was established using a continuous current. Pulse current was not used, and may give a different result. We would recommend that if this is an important criteria for you, you should carry out your own testing. If you need further advice or more detail on any aspects of the test report, please contact our Experts.

What torque value should be used for these jackscrews?
The torque value for mating jackscrews is 23cmN max. This value is given in the Component Specification C005xx (page 14).
