Frequently Asked Questions Ask a Question
What is the smallest gauge of stranded wire that can be reliably crimped into the M80-325 contact, would it work with 16AWG?
Contact M80-325 is not a crimp contact – it is intended to be soldered. It is designed to accommodate 12AWG wire gauge. Each of our power contacts for Datamate Mix-Tek is designed for a different gauge wire. M80-327 is designed to solder to 16AWG wire. Sorry, but we have not tested contact M80-325 soldered to a 16AWG cable – it might perform adequately, but you would need to carry out your own testing to confirm this.
