Questions & Answers Ask a Question
What torque value should be used for these screw-loks?
The torque value for mating screw-loks is 16-18cmN. This value is given in the Component Specification C125xx (page 3).
Is there any restriction on PCB location for this connector, such as near the edge or central mounting?
If you plan to mate this connector with a female cable connector, you will need to locate the connector near the edge of the PCB – typically the mating face would be level with the edge (or slightly over). Female cable connectors have additional bumps for retaining backshells, and these bumps will foul with the PCB if the mating face is located above the PCB. You can check the Technical Drawing (under Downloads) for the recommended distance to the footprint from the PCB edge.
If you are mating this connector with a female PCB connector, there are no additional bumps on these connectors and the mating can occur over PCB. You just need to ensure that your two PCBs do not foul with each other.
