Questions & Answers Ask a Question
Looking at the datasheet, starting from the “CONTACT No. 1 IDENT” marking, which direction does the pin numbering go? Looking at the footprint from the top with the IDENT at the top left, is pin 2 below pin 1 or to the right of pin 1?
Pin 2 is next to pin 1 in the same row. Pin numbering for Gecko travels across the row, then starts the second row under pin 1, and travels across the row again. You can see the pin numbering layout in the C125XX Component Specification (listed in Downloads under “Technical Documents”). There is also a Support article on pin numbering.
The only mating connectors I can find are PCB board mount. Do you have crimp type connectors that would mate with this?
When you are looking at the “Mating” connectors (under Related Products, click on the “Mating” tab), there are arrows under the 4 items initially shown. You can scroll left and right through the list of items. If you scroll right once, you will see the cable housings. Scroll further, and you will also see ready-made cable assemblies. Alternatively, you can look through the Gecko with Latches section of the catalog – all the latching Gecko products mate together.
Do you have a tool to help separate this connector when it is latched to the mating half?
The tool you need is the Z125-9262600 – this will help push in the two latch buttons when the connectors are engaged, so you can then separate the mated connectors. Consult the training video for more information on using this tool. It is also possible to push in the two buttons by hand as well, if you have good access.
