Avnet Abacus Sets New Sales Benchmarks for Harwin

Avnet Abacus has been presented with our 2022 European Sales Achievement Award, having consistently delivered exceptional results on each of its key performance indicators.

Avnet Abacus is one of Europe’s leading distributor for interconnect, passive, electromechanical, power supply, energy storage, wireless & sensor products. By making use of the local relationships it has with OEMs, contract manufacturers and aspiring start-ups across the continent, major sales wins are being secured and shipment volumes boosted.

The company has instigated a sizable expansion of the customer base it serves on Harwin’s behalf. The effectiveness of its back-end logistics operations and state-of-the-art order forecasting capabilities have proved pivotal in its success.

Another area where Avnet Abacus has shown its strength is in supporting early-stage opportunities, with high levels of customer service leading to a record number of design registrations being attained. It has also made substantial inventory investments, so that large amounts of stock are readily available to customers.

“The Avnet Abacus team is really highlighting the benefits of our product portfolio to engineers and procurement managers in core markets across Europe,” says Steve Miller, Harwin’s Head of Distribution Sales. “Their commitment to holding significant quantities of stock means they’re able to ensure quick access to new and popular product lines which we know is something customers really appreciate.”

“Thanks to thorough data analysis, we’re able to more accurately predict customers’ requirements of particular Harwin products right through the lifecycle of a project. This means we always have the stock levels available when projects move from the initial prototyping stages towards those larger-scale production volumes,” notes Hagen Goetze, Senior Director Marketing Product Management EMEA at Avnet Abacus. “We’re optimistic that even greater possibilities lie ahead, and we’re already implementing plans as to how to address these.”
