Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS)
The Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer was entered into force on 1st Jan 1989. It bans certain substances that are responsible for Ozone depletion. Those substances include:
- Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)
- Carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), Methyl chloroform (CH3CCl3)
- Hydrobromofluorocarbons (HBFCs)
- Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs)
- Methyl bromide (CH3Br)
- Bromochloromethane (CH2BrCl)
Harwin products do not contain any ODS.
Radioactive substances are not present in any products supplied by Harwin.
Asbestos is not present in any products supplied by Harwin.
The Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR), EU Regulation No: 528/2012, concerns the placing on the market, and use of, biocidal products. These are products used to protect humans, animals, materials or articles against harmful organisms, like pests or bacteria, by the action of the active substances contained in the biocidal product.
Harwin have no legal requirements related to this Regulation, and are confident that no substances regulated by the BPR are present in any of our products placed on the market. Harwin will continue to monitor our use of substances and this legislation.
