Team Harwin take part in Great South Run
6 employees from Harwin took part in the Great South run to raise money for a local charity
Team Harwin ran the 10 mile course round Portsmouth to help raise funds for Piam Brown, a Paediatric Oncology Ward in Southampton Hospital; on behalf of Ryan Lee, a patient and teenage son of one of our employees here at Harwin. Piam Brown has provided treatment to Lee and has been a huge support to his family during this difficult period, which is why Harwin have chosen to support such a worthy cause.
Training for the team started early in April this year, with most of the team running twice a week and gradually increasing towards the big event.
Funds were being raised from Harwin employees, customers, suppliers, family and friends, and because of this generosity, Team Harwin were able to surpass their original fundraising target. So Harwin are pleased to donate a grand total (at time of publication) of £3,700 to Piam Brown, with more donations still coming through.
On behalf of everyone at Harwin, we would like to thank those who were involved, donated and had shown their support for such a great cause.
